New Lebanon is an Ohio village located in Montgomery County. According to the 2010 United States Census, New Lebanon had a population of almost 4,000. The village is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area and has a total area of 2 square miles. New Lebanon lies about 200 miles south of Cleveland and about 60 miles north of Cincinnati.
New Lebanon was platted in 1843. The village’s first post office was originally called Medill and was established in 1847. The post office was renamed New Lebanon in 1849 and the village was eventually incorporated in 1878.
New Lebanon is located about 12 miles west of Dayton, making it easy to access all of Dayton’s local attractions such as the National Museum of the United States Air Force, the Dayton Art Institute, Carillon Historical Park, SunWatch Indian Village, and many more. Also, the village has about 5 local parks that individuals may enjoy in the area.
Winters in New Lebanon tend to be very cold. January sees an average of about 10 inches of snow per year.
